UniSports Sports Medicine is also a clinical teaching and research facility. Our team of medical specialists are respected lecturers and speakers in their particular fields and we are proud to be associated with the teaching departments of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland, and the Faculty of Health Studies, School of Physiotherapy, at the Auckland University of Technology.
We have an ongoing commitment to the orthopaedic teaching of 4th year medical students from the University of Auckland, and also provide clinical attachment opportunities for medical doctors undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine.
Our research activities are continuously growing. In addition, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other sports or health-related organisations in new and challenging clinical research projects.

Our clinic is a multidisciplinary medical treatment and research facility specialising in athletic injuries and rehabilitation, and has rapidly expanded to suit the growing demands of amateur and professional sport. We have a highly qualified professional team of leading medical specialists covering Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy, Orthopaedics, Podiatry, and Hand Therapy. During a placement at our clinic, you will be able to observe and follow through the management of patients in a sports injury setting. In addition, you will gain an understanding of the individual roles of each member in the medical team and the impact they each have on the patient. We welcome applications from a vast number of professions, ranging from Personal Trainers, Post Grad Students, through to qualified Medical Professionals.
