Counties got back on track on Wednesday night defeating Manawatu at home. For the medical staff, calf injuries to tight head props seem to be the order of the day, consistent with what the literature tells us. A recent BJSM paper denoted key injury risks by position and tight head props are indeed more at risk of calf injuries, particularly at scrum time. Counties are away to Tasman this weekend, hoping to taste that winning feeling again.
