Research and Education
adidas Sports Medicine is also a clinical teaching and research facility.
Our team of medical specialists are respected lecturers and speakers in their
particular fields and we are proud to be associated with the teaching departments
of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland, and the Faculty of Health Studies, School of Physiotherapy, at the Auckland University of Technology.
We have an ongoing commitment to the orthopaedic teaching of 4th year medical
students from the University of Auckland, and also provide clinical attachment
opportunities for medical doctors undertaking the Postgraduate Diploma in Sports
Medicine.
Our research activities are continuously growing. In addition, we welcome the
opportunity to collaborate with other sports or health-related organisations
in new and challenging clinical research projects.
Our current research projects include:
- anterior ankle impingement syndrome
- anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures
- achilles tendon ruptures.
